About me
I am an orthopedic surgeon, a doctor who treats the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves of your body. I specialize in foot and ankle care for adults, as well as pediatric orthopedic trauma.
I treat a wide range of conditions, including:
- Arthritis
- Complex fractures
- Deformities
- Sports injuries
- Fractures in children
I offer both surgical and non-surgical treatment options and work closely with each patient to determine the approach that best fits their needs, goals and lifestyle.
My approach to care is rooted in compassion, precision, persistence and teamwork. I believe in building personal connections with my patients. I guide them through every step of their injury, treatment and recovery so they feel informed, supported and confident throughout the process.
As an assistant professor at OHSU, I chose this specialty because I truly believe that the comfort of the body begins with healthy feet. I find it deeply rewarding to help patients heal by realigning broken bones, correcting deformities and restoring function. My greatest joy is seeing patients return to the daily activities and sports they love.
I grew up in Luxor, Egypt, surrounded by a rich history and strong sense of community. Those early experiences shaped my appreciation for culture, compassion, and connection—values that continue to guide how I care for my patients today.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, walking, reading, traveling and discovering new foods.
Dr. Massoud's primary clinic location is the Hillsboro Medical Center Orthopedic Clinic.
