What is HHT?

Also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome, HHT is an inherited disorder that causes blood vessels to bleed. It can affect people of any age, race or gender.

Normally blood vessels called capillaries connect arteries and veins and help blood flow smoothly through the body. In HHT, some blood vessels don’t form normally. This creates vessels that can break easily and cause bleeding.

There is no cure for HHT, but early diagnosis and treatment can help manage symptoms and prevent complications.
