John G. Massoud, M.D., M.Sc. (he/him)
- Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, School of Medicine
Biography
I am an orthopedic surgeon and assistant professor at OHSU specializing in foot and ankle surgery and pediatric orthopedic trauma. I chose this field because I believe that "the comfort of the body begins with healthy feet," and I am grateful to help patients by realigning broken bones and correcting deformities.
My greatest goal is seeing patients return to the daily activities they love and the sports they enjoy. I value compassion, precision, persistence and teamwork in all aspects of my work.
I grew up in Luxor, Egypt, surrounded by a rich history and immersed in a deep sense of heritage that shaped my appreciation for culture and connection. Those early experiences taught me the value of compassion and the strong commitment to caring for others, which continue to guide my work in medicine today.
