About me

I’m a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic care

I see people for a wide range of orthopedic concerns and work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals, whether that involves activity modifications, therapy, injections, bracing or working with orthopedic specialists. Being part of a patient's healing process during a difficult time is the most rewarding part of my work.

I trained as a physician assistant at OHSU, and orthopedics was a natural fit for me given my background as a certified athletic trainer at the collegiate level. That experience taught me the value of strength, function and individualized care, all of which I bring to my practice every day.

My approach to care is patient-centered and collaborative, and I strive to listen carefully, explain your diagnosis and options clearly and help you feel confident in the decisions we make together. I believe healing happens best when you’re informed and supported throughout your care journey.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, playing games and sports, spending time outdoors and being with my family and friends. I live in the Portland area with my wife and our three daughters.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
