About me

I am a plastic surgeon who provides adult patients with many types of care, including:

  • Surgical and non-surgical treatment of hand problems such as injuries, fractures, tendon damage and peripheral nerve disorders
  • Body contouring and reconstruction after major weight loss, such as abdominoplasty, panniculectomy, brachioplasty, liposuction, thigh lifts and excisional body reshaping
  • Complete care for long-lasting or difficult wounds, including debridement, grafting and flap reconstruction

My care is centered on helping people regain form, function and confidence through reconstructive plastic, hand and peripheral nerve surgery. I work to provide kind, patient-focused care that supports quality of life and long-term recovery. My goal is to help patients regain independence and well-being while serving the community that inspired me to go into medicine.

I was born in Serbia, and my family and I moved to Hillsboro, Oregon in 1997. We quickly fell in love with our new home. I grew up playing soccer, working with my dad as a truck driver and mechanic, and hearing my mom’s stories from her job as a radiology technician at Tuality, where she worked for 25 years. Being around healthcare from a young age inspired me to pursue a career in medicine.

I completed all my education in Oregon. I went to the University of Oregon for my undergraduate studies, then to OHSU for medical school and residency. During medical school I discovered plastic and hand surgery, which connected with my mechanic’s background. Although I generally loved anything related to surgery, I was especially drawn to the way plastic surgery helps protect and improve a person’s quality of life.

After twelve years at OHSU, my spouse, young son and I moved to Baltimore, Maryland so I could complete a hand surgery fellowship at the Curtis National Hand Center. With this added focus, my family and I decided to return to Oregon so I could join the OHSU Plastic Surgery division at Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) and reconnect with my community. My focus at HMC will be reconstructive plastic surgery, hand surgery, and peripheral nerve surgery.

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
