About me

I’m a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in helping patients restore form and function after cancer, trauma or lymphatic disorders. My clinical focus includes breast reconstruction and advanced lymphatic surgery using microsurgical and supermicrosurgical techniques.

My passion is helping patients reclaim what they feel they’ve lost—whether that’s physical function, a sense of normalcy or confidence in their bodies. I’m inspired by one of the early pioneers of plastic surgery, Gaspare Tagliacozzi, who said, “We restore, rebuild, and make whole those parts which nature hath given, but which fortune has taken away—not so much that it may delight the eye, but that it might buoy up the spirit, and help the mind of the afflicted.” That philosophy guides everything I do.

I completed my residency in plastic surgery and received advanced fellowship training in microsurgery and lymphatic surgery throughout Europe and Asia. Before joining OHSU, I helped establish a lymphatic surgery program and cared for patients with a wide range of reconstructive needs during my time at MedStar Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.,

At OHSU, I’m committed to providing personalized, compassionate care and expanding access to advanced reconstructive options for patients across the Pacific Northwest—where I grew up. Whether it’s through breast reconstruction, microsurgery or lymphatic bypass, my goal is to help each patient move forward with confidence and renewed strength.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
