About me

Cheryl Stomberg is a nurse practitioner treating patients with hematologic malignancies after they have had CAR T-cell therapy or autologous stem cell transplant. She took care of critical care patients as an RN for 14 years and during that time, she found she loved caring for those who were going through cancer treatment. After becoming a nurse practitioner, she came to the Knight Cancer Institute to finally work with this wonderful patient population.

Cheryl’s approach to patient care is to care for the whole person. She takes into consideration the mind, body and spirit of the person she is caring for to promote wellness and healing. This can also include the family of the individual. What Cheryl enjoys most is getting to know her patients and providing support to ease their path through a challenging time in their lives.

Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family playing with and watching her kids play basketball and soccer. She also enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, traveling, having movie nights, reading, learning new things, being creative and volunteering in her community.

Special focus: CAR-T and Autologous Transplantation

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
