About me

I'm a clinical social worker and psychotherapist at the Gabriel Park Family Medicine Clinic. I provide therapy to adults experiencing:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Adjustment difficulties
  • Other mental health concerns

I'm also part of the clinic's Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), a program designed to make psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management more accessible to patients right here in their primary care home, without the long waits and barriers that often come with seeking mental health care elsewhere.

My approach to therapy is direct and nonjudgmental. I believe that people are best understood in the context of their environment, relationships and lived experiences, so I take time to get to know the whole you, not just your symptoms.

I draw on a variety of evidence-based methods and tailor my approach to what works best for each individual. Whatever brings you to therapy, I'll meet you where you are and work alongside you as you explore new ways of thinking, feeling and being in the world.

Before graduate school, I spent three years working as a certified Peer Support Specialist — an experience that gave me a deep appreciation for the power of lived experience in the healing process. I went on to complete my graduate training in health promotion at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and clinical social work at Portland State University, and finished my clinical training in primary care behavioral health at OHSU's Richmond Family Medicine Clinic.

Outside of work, you'll find me doing arts and crafts, exploring Portland's incredible food scene, playing video games, or climbing at the bouldering gym.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
