About me

I am a family medicine doctor who provides care across every stage of life. My clinical interests include:

  • Reproductive health
  • Gender-affirming care
  • Mental health

I was drawn to family medicine because of its activist roots and its deep connection between health and community. I’m especially passionate about caring for people who are underserved or marginalized—particularly queer, trans and immigrant communities.

I grew up in western Connecticut, where my earliest inspirations came from my parents, public school teachers and librarians. They nurtured in me a deep sense of curiosity about people and the worlds they live in—something that continues to guide me in my work today.

While I always dreamed of becoming a doctor, I’ve also had a lifelong love of the humanities and the power of storytelling. I earned my medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where I focused my research on queer and transgender health histories, cancer risk and violence experiences among transgender patients, as well as the intersection of queer, trans and Arab identities with health.

Outside of the clinic, I love hunting for cafés with unique tea menus, watching local birds and tending to my houseplants (with mixed success). I’m also an amateur poet and an enthusiastic builder of LEGO creations.

I'm so grateful to be doing this work and excited to be part of the OHSU community.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
