About me

Dr. Pegany grew up in a rural town in Northern California. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She completed an Ophthalmology residency at UNC Chapel Hill followed by a Fellowship in Cornea, External Eye Diseases and Refractive Surgery at OHSU Casey Eye Institute in Portland, OR, where she received their Fellow of the Year award. After completing fellowship, she joined the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco before returning to Casey. Dr. Pegany’s interests include infectious and inflammatory conditions of the cornea and medical education.

  1. Emily was excelle ! And Dr. Pegany was excellent !

  2. The Dr was good yet I have not received any of the results from the other test that I was sent downstairs to take.

Not sure if I was squeezed in at the end of the day but when the doctor came in, afert the assistant or nurse left, she was by herself, my wife had to help her with a few of the things she needed to do to my eye while the doctor was swabbing my eye , and getting things needed, seemed like at the end of the day all the staff vanished and the doctor was by herself. The doctor was very patient and was very concerned and she took extra time to make me feel combatable and understand the nature of the visit.

  10. The doctor acted like she cared, and listened carefully to my concerns. She appeared to think my information was valuable. I was hopeful upon leaving the appointment that I might have some positive resolution for my problem. I haven't felt like this in a long time.
