About me

Mary Bartlett is a doctor of nursing with years of experience treating the full scope of problems requiring immediate care. She enjoys solving clinical puzzles and engaging her patients in finding the solution. When appropriate, she uses humor to engage with them and relieve their stress.

She loves to teach, whether students or patients, and finds that these encounters are learning experiences for her too.

In her free time, she hopes to score her age in golf before she is 80 years old. She and her partner have five children and one cat, and she loves to explore Portland’s food cart possibilities with them — well, not the cat.

  1. They were very clear, showed great competence and knowledge of the subject, compassionate, professional and caring.

  2. They were great, listened closely to my symptoms, and we reached an agreed upon plan pretty quickly. They also were a very comforting provider to be around and I felt safe to talk about my issues without worry of not being believed.

  5. The clinician was very warm and provided me with a lot of information regarding my issue. She was very thorough and showed compassion as well as very professional.

  9. This was the second time in a month that I went to urgent care with bad knee pain. The first visit was a swing and a miss as far as diagnosis goes. I came back to urgent care a couple weeks later in even greater pain and the person who saw me was very intelligent after listening to my lifestyle they asked to touch my knee and palpated near where my illiotibial band connects with my knee on the first touch. I was impressed. It felt like fire and they knew instantly it was my illiotibial band, they sent me home with stretches and explained why they chose those particular stretches.

  24. Mary Bartlett was exceptional when listening to our concerns and very aware how best to communicate with my nonverbal autistic little grandson.

  25. She expressed concern for my situation and explained what options were available to help. She got me out of acute discomfort, helping with steri strips and adhesive I didn't know I'm allergic to.
