About me
I am a certified genetic counselor who works with patients and families at risk for inherited cancer predisposition syndromes, also called hereditary cancer syndromes.
I’ve provided genetic counseling with OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and OHSU genetic clinics since 2007. Before receiving my master’s degree in genetic counseling, I worked in a research lab studying gene therapy for inborn errors of metabolism.
When I meet with patients, we discuss:
- Personal and/or family history of cancer
- Genetic testing options
- How genetic test results may impact cancer risk and management recommendations and be informative for family members
If we do testing, we review the result, management recommendations and offer resources for continued support and care.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, particularly camping.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
