About me
Jordan Anderson, D.O., is from Chicago. He worked as a phlebotomist while earning his bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Illinois. He went to medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation, he completed his medical internship at The Wright Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he received the award for Intern of the Year. He then moved on to Brown University for a dual residency in Neurology and Psychiatry which he completed in 2019.
Dr. Anderson practices in the area of Neuropsychiatry, the overlap between the fields of Neurology and Psychiatry. His clinical focus is on mental health symptoms arising from brain disorders, including epilepsy, movement disorders (such as Parkinson’s disease or Huntington’s disease), brain tumors, rare genetic disorders affecting brain development, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative disorders (such as Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias). Dr. Anderson has extensive experience diagnosing and treating Functional Neurological Disorders which are a large part of his practice. Lastly, Dr. Anderson has directed one of the nation’s few Long COVID Neuropsychiatry clinics and has been deeply invested in this work since July 2021.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Anderson is regularly engaged in education of trainees and healthcare professionals on various topics in Neuropsychiatry, as well as academic work in the areas of Functional Neurological Disorder, and Long COVID. He has done extensive education on a local, regional and national level on the topic of Long COVID Neuropsychiatry and contributed to the development of national consensus guidelines for evaluation and management of this condition.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing piano, and cooking.
