About me

I am a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor (often called a physiatrist) dedicated to helping people with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and pain. I work with patients who are experiencing:

  • Joint pain
  • Arthritis
  • Neck or back pain
  • Sports or recreational injuries
  • Tendinitis
  • Nerve compression or injury

My focus is on maximizing your functional recovery and helping you return to the activities and lifestyle that matter most to you.

In my practice, I combine thorough evaluation with evidence-based treatments tailored to your goals. When appropriate, I perform procedures under ultrasound or fluoroscopic (x-ray) guidance to provide targeted pain relief. I enjoy working closely with patients to explain their condition clearly, answer questions and develop a plan that makes sense for their life.

Outside of the clinic, I love spending time outdoors backpacking and mountain biking, and I enjoy relaxing with my family.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
