About me

I'm a neurologist with a specialized focus on stroke. I work with patients to both prevent strokes before they happen and provide rapid, expert treatment when they do.

My practice centers on stroke prevention and acute stroke treatment. I work with patients to identify and manage risk factors such as high blood pressure, heart conditions and prior TIAs (sometimes called "mini-strokes") that can increase the likelihood of a stroke.

For patients who have already experienced a stroke, I focus on creating a clear, individualized plan to support recovery and reduce the risk of a future event.

Stroke is a medical emergency, and the speed and quality of care in those critical first hours can make an enormous difference in a patient's recovery and long-term quality of life. That sense of urgency and purpose has driven my work throughout my career.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
