About me

I am a family medicine and sports medicine doctor. My goal is to provide comprehensive care for your entire family—from children and busy adults to seniors looking to stay active and independent.

Whether I am helping you manage a chronic health condition or treating a sudden sports injury, I am dedicated to helping you live a healthy, vibrant life.

I provide my patients with:

  • Management of chronic diseases
  • Management of acute illnesses
  • Management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries
  • Management of sports-related injuries
  • Management of concussions
  • Diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • In-office procedures
  • Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)

I believe the best medicine happens when we work as a team. My approach is patient-centered and evidence-based, which means I combine the latest medical research with your unique goals and values.

I know how frustrating it is to be sidelined by pain or illness. That’s why I focus on clear communication and shared decision-making. We will work together to create an individualized plan—whether that involves preventive wellness, managing a long-term illness or using advanced tools like ultrasound-guided treatments and osteopathic manipulation to get you back in the game.

I moved to the Pacific Northwest after completing my medical training in Detroit, where I had the privilege of caring for athletes at every level—from local high schools to professional teams.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll likely find me exploring the beautiful PNW with my family or coaching my kids’ sports teams. I’m an avid reader of sci-fi and fantasy novels, a "novice-level" home barista constantly trying to pull the perfect espresso shot and a fan of the Portland food scene.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
