About me

Dr. Roberts specializes in caring for children with epilepsy. He has advanced training in comprehensive epilepsy care, including medical management, interpretation of EEGs (electroencephalograms) and the evaluation and management of children for epilepsy surgery. He is involved in the direction of many clinical research trials exploring new treatments for epilepsy in children, and delivered the first gene therapy ever given to a person with epilepsy under a clinical protocol.

Dr. Roberts completed his neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He came to OHSU in 2001 and founded the Doernbecher Childhood Epilepsy Program, which has grown to become one of the most prominent centers for the treatment of epilepsy in the Pacific Northwest.

While still a Philly native, he no longer cries when watching Rocky movies.

When not at work, Dr. Roberts enjoys engaging with the architectural and cultural history of Portland, fixing vintage cars, and attending as many live music events as possible.

If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
