Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

SHe was clear, direct, was late by 15 min (she said reading my file) covered bases and gave me the sense that she needed to finish quickly, I felt she wasn't hearing me but was rather talking about the process as she knew it. Not as it applied to me. She knows her stuff.
Great experience
Dry personality, no bedside manner, referred me AGAIN for more tests, after tests, after tests
Spoke in plain simple English I could understand
Everyone was very nice and wanted me to be as comfortable as I could be.
Excellent
Been a patient for the last 3 years and they are professional and caring.
So far very good
Very informative and to the point.
Although a surgeon, she knew when she could not help and she checked with other surgeons to make sure.
I know you are teaching others but I was a bit intimidated by three in the room. I was not ready to sign up for surgery. I understood this to be a consult, which it was. It gave me much information to consider.
I was treated with total indiferance!
It was great
Both the med student paolo and the Doctor asked questions and the Doctor explained the procedure quite well.
Professional and listening skills are on point. She follows through with with what is talked about.
Dr Qureshi was very clear about my diagnosis and surgical realities. She has referred me to an oncology specialist at OHSU for further consultation about treatment and testing possibilities. My perspective about my outcomes was improved by this consultation.
Try kind and caring
Very impressed and happy with Doctor and staff
Everyone was Very caring very understanding. Very knowledgeable very educated and took the best care of me. No complaints.
Very thorough and explained things clearly using diagrams.
Professional, knowledgeable, thorough, direct and respectful.
Very educational and thorough. Also very communicative regarding time issues, so I wasn't left wondering when I'd be seen. The resident was very kind and took extra care with communicating with me while I was waiting to be seen. Thank you!
Everything has been great
Dr Qureshi is very thorough and clear about explaining everything and she is also very patient in answering all questions and concerns.
Dr. Alia P Qureshi MD is extremely knowledgeable and impressive. I trust Dr. Qureshi to identify and perform the correct surgery to improve my Hiatal Hernia and the underlying condition that causes my inability to swallow food and allows the food to resurface in my throat and to be inhaled into my lungs. The correct qeustions were asked to identify a potential second cause and to schedule a test to determine whether the surgery will be for GERD or for achalasia. I am lucky to be assigned Dr. Alia P Qureshu MD for treatment and surgery.
Doctor Qureshi is a credit to herself and your institution. She was clearly well versed with my condition and, as a result, made me feel comfortable from the outset and, most importantly, confident in her capacity to provide the expert opinion and advice I sought. Moreover, Doctor Querishi appeared more than happy to answer all of my (many) questions for which I am indebted to her given can that the purpose of this appointment was to secure information to allow me to make an informed decision. Her patience for me seemed near boundless and that speaks so well of her.One does not always leave a doctor's appointment feeling as if all avenues have been explored and all options explained in a manner that the "lay person" can easily grasp. However, that's exactly how I felt after meeting Doctor Querishi. I cannot conceive of any higher compliment for a physician.
Personable and informative
