About me
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience caring for people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including:
- Psychotic, mood and anxiety disorders
- Trauma recovery
- Addiction recovery
I provide patients with psychiatric evaluations, medication management and psychotherapy. I approach each patient with respect, empathy and a commitment to evidence-based care.
My care is grounded in both psychiatric practice and mindfulness. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood and empowered to take part in your own healing.
Before joining OHSU, I spent eight years at the Department of Veterans Affairs supporting veterans as they navigated life after military service. I’ve also worked extensively in community psychiatry, including care focused on LGBTQ+ mental health. These experiences have shaped my belief that every person deserves to feel seen and supported, no matter what they’re facing.
Outside of work, I love exploring Portland’s music and food scenes, and I enjoy visiting the Oregon Coast and the Cascades with my wife, our sons and our dog, Paddington.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
