About me

Dr. Peter Lee is a pulmonologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer of the lung and trachea. He provides advanced diagnostic ultrasonography and bronchoscopy and therapeutic bronchoscopy including large airway stenting, ablation of airway tumors, thoracentesis, tunneled pleural catheters and pleurodesis.

An important part of his practice is being able to connect with patients and their families to provide empathy, expertise and reassurance to help guide them through a stressful, vulnerable time. He enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting where members from a variety of specialties with unique skill sets collaborate to provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care.

Dr. Lee grew up in New York City where he earned his undergraduate degree at New York University followed by a master’s in health sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. He went on to complete an additional fellowship in interventional pulmonology at Virginia Commonwealth University and stayed on faculty at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center and VCU School of Medicine for six years as director of the VA Interventional Pulmonology and Lung Cancer Screening programs. He joined the faculty at OHSU as director of interventional pulmonology and the Lung Nodule Program in September of 2022.
