About me

Dr. Aldweib specializes in caring for adults with heart problems. He has advanced training in birth defects that affect the heart (congenital heart disease) in addition to advanced heart failure therapies and heart transplant. Dr. Aldweib cannot think of a more noble way to add to life than prolonging and improving the quality of life of patients with congenital heart disease. His research focuses on further elucidating heart failure mechanisms in adults with congenital heart disease.

Outside work, he enjoys running, listening to Jazz music and exploring Oregon's exuberant natural splendor.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

  1. Very thorough and truly cared

  2. Very friendly, great job explaining and giving a chance to ask questions.

  3. I had the opportunity to speak with both the cardiologist and a fellow during my visit. They were incredibly patient, taking the time to listen and conduct a thorough assessment. I truly felt heard, and their empathy was evident throughout the conversation. I was especially impressed by the cardiologist's bedside manner-it made a difficult situation feel a little easier.I was diagnosed last year and have struggled to understand what's been happening to my body-particularly the unusual chest pain, pulsations in my eyes and ears, and multiple episodes of syncope, one of which resulted in a concussion.Thank you both for taking the time to explain everything so clearly and for providing a plan that gives me hope and direction moving forward.

  4. Nael was thorough and direct. I could tell he was trying to address my condition while acknowledging my anxiety and even though it fell a bit short, I appreciated the attempt at a more human doctor-patient relationship. I've had this kind of experience with many cardiologists so I've come to expect it.

  5. I think the clinician was very professional, and he clearly communicated his observations to me.

  6. Direct and to the point

  7. Dr. Aldeweib is awesome. He talks to me like a normal person. He is kind, listens to what I have to say and doesn't treat me like a nuisance like some of the other cardiologists I have seen in the past

  8. Very nice

  9. They were nice and explained everything very well

  10. Dr. Aldweib is very compassionate to his patients.

  11. A kind and gentle manner

  12. Very helpful to explain and recommend
