Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Dr Murphy is always pleasant and focused on my health. I have complete confidence in him.
Dr Murphy is a really solid primary care physician. He's very attentive to my health details and is vigilant in keeping me healthy with dedicated plans. I'd honestly recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician.
He cares about his patients. Very profesional.
Dr. Murphy took the time to explain my condition in layman's terms I could understand. And, went above and beyond to walk through the three drug treatment options for that condition. They are fairly complicated in terms of effectiveness and side effects - I have the information I need to made an informed decision.
Since I have seen the clinician in person previously we have a built trust. That helps to communicate and made the video talk go smoothly. He had read my previous communications and was up to date on what I was discussing.
Always personally concerned and informative. Good followup.
Dr. Murphy is great. He is a good listener.

Dr Murphy stays focused as we work through the numerous issues of this new (to Internal Med) patient. I feel heard and appreciate his input, and the support of this entire team.
Dr. Murphy is very conscientious and asked many questions about my gut issues. Thank you. His assistant Jacob was pleasant and caring also.
Excellent
Dr. Murphy was excellent. I presented as a somewhat complex patient with no urgent issues, yet he was informed and showed expertise in navigating what was important and how to address it with another medical provider as his patient.
