About me

Scott Werden is a cardiologist whose practice focuses on noninvasive and invasive diagnostics and pharmacologic therapy for adult cardiovascular disease, including heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He believes in helping patients understand their disease so they can share in decision making about their treatment. He takes into account comorbid illness and socioeconomic issues that play a role in their disease.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, wife and children. He stays active by biking, sailing and hiking. He loves traveling to new countries and seeing different cultures. He enjoys learning new languages and playing his guitar — his family may not quite share his love of these activities.

Clinical expertise and clinical focus: Cardiovascular disease diagnostics and therapeutics; invasive and noninvasive imaging with cardiac catheterization, echocardiography and nuclear perfusion imaging

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
