Dr. Valent specializes in caring for women with endocrine and metabolic disorders such as diabetes, thyroid and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Her research will be focused to further understand how these conditions influence pregnancy to help patients improve the health of their pregnancies to obtain the best results. She loves to educate women about their health, especially prior to pregnancy, to empower them with knowledge and confidence and to optimize pregnancy outcomes.

Dr. Valent loves to eat anything and everything. It is her favorite hobby, which Portland is perfect as it has so many delicious options. If she is not working, researching or eating, then you will find her outside hiking, kayaking or running; loving the life outdoors especially with great friends and family.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
