About me

Dr. Blair Murphy has a passion for working with children. She focuses on improving how children feel as they're treated with radiation. She also specializes in treating patients with brain tumors.

Dr. Murphy feels lucky to work with many people at OHSU who share her passion for helping children. She is grateful to work with artistic team members who help children decorate their radiation face masks as part of their healing. She is excited to continue finding ways to improve the radiation experience for children treated at OHSU, and their families.

Dr. Murphy earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at OHSU. During her residency, she completed additional training with providers at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Those providers specialized in treating pediatric patients with proton radiation. She is an active member of the Children's Oncology Group, a national clinical trials group focused on children's cancer research. She also is part of national and international groups working to improve radiation treatment and how children experience the treatment. When she's not working, Dr. Murphy and her partner, Caleb, spend time skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking and adventuring with their two dogs. She has convinced many of her family members to move from Kentucky to the Portland area.

If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
