About me
Dr. Gupta is a board certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive ophthalmology care which includes a variety of conditions including cataract, glaucoma, dry eye and macular degeneration, with special focus on surgical management of routine and complex cataract surgery.
Dr. Gupta grew up in India where she completed her medical school, an ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in cornea and anterior segment. She completed an internal medicine residency at Loma Linda University, California and practiced as an internist for a few years. She subsequently completed a uveitis fellowship at OHSU, Casey Eye Institute and an ophthalmology residency at OHSU, Casey Eye Institute, Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Gupta is passionate about her work; she feels very fortunate to be able to help others regain back their vision and believes that the satisfaction from doing so is priceless. She likes to educate her patients about their eye conditions so they can be an active informed participant in the healthcare decisions that are made.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, hiking, traveling, reading, cooking and fine arts.

Since the first day I met her nothing has changed.She always is been the same clinician.very caring.

Dr Gupta is such an outstanding doctor. She is knowledgeable, she truly listens to what you are telling her and answers your questions. She's nonjudgmental and warm. .She inspires trust. Her follow-up plans make you know she cares about your vision.
Dr. Gupta listened to my request to not be dilated that day and agreed it could wait.
Dr. Gupta has been very easy to work with. Aside from the long lead time to schedule surgery my experience has be exemplary. She is very personable and particularly responsive to my concerns and requests. The outcome of the cataract surgery was and still is excellent.

Dr. Gupta is a very good doctor. However, her staff did not tell her why I was there, and therefore I felt like additional treatment was done that didn't need to be done. I came in with a blocked gland on my eyelid and was told it was keratosis. However, I already knew about the keratosis, and that was not my concern, but no one ever asked me what my concern was until the doctor relayed her diagnosis and that. When I told her that was not why I was there she asked me why I was there and I told her it was because of the spot or lesion on my eyelid. She gave me some medication and that was that. I feel like the whole process could've taken 5 to 10 minutes and that there was no need for photographs of the retina, Dilation, etc. As It was I was there about one hour and 15 minutes. I feel like this was a system or process issue and not an issue With the Clinician. Ask the patient why they are there , what are they concerned about and address that not, any and all possibilities. Especially when I have a full exam already scheduled.
