About me
I am a heart rhythm specialist who cares for both adults and children with arrhythmia disorders, including:
- Atrial fibrillation
- Bradycardia
- Congenital arrhythmias
I’ve studied many fields and hold six specialty board certifications. I’m an expert in treating atrial fibrillation and other causes of slow, fast, or irregular heartbeats. I perform advanced ablation procedures, including the new pulsed field ablation technique. I also have special training in caring for adults with congenital heart disease—people born with heart problems who have grown into adulthood. These patients often have irregular heart rhythms that need complex care many doctors aren’t used to providing. I’m also a leader in robotic ablation, a method that uses magnetically controlled tools to operate on the heart from the inside. This technique can lower the risk of complications and help people who can’t have traditional ablation due to unique anatomy.
I believe the best care comes from working together with my patients to create a treatment plan that fits their specific needs. Since one in four people will have a heart rhythm disorder at some point in their life, I know that every patient’s situation is different. Arrhythmia disorders can be confusing and hard to understand, but I use my experience as a teacher to help my patients understand what’s happening, what their options are, and how serious their condition really is (which usually isn't as much as they might fear).
When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling, flying planes, amateur computer programming, baking, and both watching and performing comedy.
