About me

Dr. Natalie Cassell is a pediatrician providing general inpatient care for pediatric patients hospitalized for a variety of acute and chronic conditions

Dr. Cassell completed a training year in Lilongwe, Malawi, as part of her unique four-year Pediatrics and Global Health residency. After serving children around the world, from immigrants on the U.S.-Mexican border to a remote Alaskan Native population, she is elated to return to academic pediatrics surrounded by other specialized pediatric caregivers. Her dedication to bringing not some, but the best pediatric care everywhere through policy, research, education and pediatric-specific staff is only strengthened by her experience in resource-limited locations.

Dr. Cassell hopes to draw on her experience in many institutions, cultures and languages for better coordination, access and understanding of your child’s care. She enjoys the joy, whimsy, humility and honesty that is unique to working with children and it is a privilege to work toward safeguarding their health and futures.

Dr. Cassell considers her primary hobby the collection of more hobbies. She enjoys traveling and pretty much anything that can be done outdoors, especially in the sun.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
