About me
I am a cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular critical care, with a focus on treating adults facing life-threatening heart conditions such as cardiogenic shock, heart failure, myocardial infarction (heart attack), valvular heart disease, arrhythmias and cardiac arrest. I provide a variety of treatments, including:
- Treatment of acute cardiac emergencies
- Post cardiac surgery care
- Mechanical ventilation
- Mechanical circulatory support devices
I care for patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), where I manage complex, high-acuity cases. My clinical work includes invasive and noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, airway management, and post-operative care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery. In addition to my work in the ICU, I also perform and interpret transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms in the echocardiography lab, helping to guide diagnosis and treatment across a broad spectrum of cardiac conditions.
My approach to patient care is grounded in compassion, communication and evidence-based medicine. I strive to build trust with patients and their families through shared decision-making and personalized care plans. I’m committed to delivering the highest level of critical care in a collaborative environment alongside dedicated, expert colleagues.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading a wide range of books, and following sports, especially soccer. I also appreciate the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and spend time outdoors whenever I can.
