Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.

Dr. Michael Regner is an Assistant Professor of Neuroradiology at OHSU.  He completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a member of the highly competitive Medical Scholars Program.  He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in radiology at the University of Colorado, Denver, where he also completed graduate studies in bioengineering with a focus on advanced brain MRI methods.  His research interests during training included advanced neuroimaging and functional neuroimaging in substance use disorders, studying brain structure and functional circuitry in both long-term psychostimulant users in prolonged remission as well as active addiction.  He later completed a two-year clinical neuroradiology fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, where he served as an attending clinical instructor for one year.

Dr. Regner is excited to join OHSU neuroradiology.  Clinically, he has a passion for teaching learners at all levels (medical students, residents, and fellows).  His clinical interests include fetal brain MRI, spine MRI, head and neck oncology, and advanced CT-guided spine procedures.  His recent burgeoning research interests include reproducibility and transparency in neuroimaging research using publicly available datasets.  In his personal life, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife (also an OHSU physician) and their pets, discovering new restaurants, exploring Oregon and northern California, biking, exercise, reading, and playing piano.
