About me

Dr. Jonathan Krasinkiewicz is a pediatric pulmonologist who treats all pediatric pulmonology conditions. He is passionate about lung disease that occurs when children are born premature, as well as associated conditions such as pulmonary hypertension. He hopes to build programs at OHSU to bring more specialized care to these patients and improve outcomes. He treats numerous other conditions such as cystic fibrosis, asthma, neuromuscular disorders and primary ciliary dyskinesia, as well as general pulmonary problems.

His approach to patient care is to educate families so they can participate in shared decision-making. He loves connecting with patients and being able to see them smile again when they feel better.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, bouldering, paddleboarding, recording music and video games.

Clinical Expertise: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia, pulmonary hypertension, technology-dependent children

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

Ratings and reviews

Overall: 4.9 out of 5 (39 Ratings, 16 Reviews)

The patient ratings score is an average of all responses to the question "How likely would you be to recommend this provider to your family and friends (on a scale of 0 to 10)" on our nationally-recognized NRC patient surveys.

  1. Took our concerns seriously. Was thorough in reviewing an extensive medical history, came up with a great treatment plan and answered all our questions.

  2. Dr. Kraschokiewicz was that superb blend of professional excellence and compassion. We felt seen and heard knew we were in good hands.

  3. Dr. Krasinkiewicz and his nurse as well as his student, was/is, in my opinion, one of the best teams I have encountered at this clinic in a very long time. They were all SO incredibly kind, explained things exceptionally well, and personable.

  4. Dr. K met us at our level of medical understanding and was able to clearly articulate a plan moving forward, with shared decision making. He was quick to identify and allay concerns raised during our visit.

  5. The clinician came in and introduced himself to myself and my son. He made sure he listened to my concerns and I felt like hearing what was going on was his top priority.

  6. This Dr took the time to listen to me and my concerns. Office staff was amazing to work with as well.

  7. Dr. K is exceptional. He is easy to talk to and makes sure all of our questions have been answered. He truly cares about the well being of my child. Though he is a pulmonologist, he has just as much concern about other aspects of my child's wellness. I have learned the most about my child's condition from him. He uses data from assessments and clinical judgment to drive his treatment recommendations. He keeps the comfort of my child a priority and does not push medications if there is not enough data to support using it. I wish that he could be my child's PCP! Highly recommend him!

  8. The clinician addressed all of our concerns and explained procedures and outcomes clearly and in a way my child could understand

  9. Appts with Dr. K never feel rushed. It is obvious that he reads up about his patients before his visits and considers all aspects of my son's health, not just respiratory. I love that he relies on evidence and data to drive his decision making.

  10. Because I've been here for years and treated well

  11. The truth is that the media treat us very well and are concerned about my son's health

  12. Dr. K really listens to us and takes the time to explain and help us understand his observations and concerns.

  13. Dr K is one of our favorites-competent, compassionate, and very thoughtful. We always appreciate our visits with him.

  14. He takes his time, listens, is sympathetic, is knowledgeable, thinks through all the possibilities, is kind

  15. Johnny K is by far one the most empathetic, professional, knowledgable and personable providers I have ever had the honor of knowing.

  16. Really great with my daughter and explained everything super well
