About me
Dr. Virginia Tan was born in Hayward, California, but moved around to various cities in China until finally settling down in California to finish out high school. After college, she took a year off to work at the FDA in Washington, D.C., on research looking at allergen extracts, before matriculating to medical school. As a medical student, Virginia was involved in research investigating the quality of life of patients with brain metastases after receiving gamma knife radiation. She also served on the board of the medical student free clinic, where she developed a love of caring for the underserved in medicine.
Outside the hospital, you can often find Virginia exploring new hiking trails and trying out new restaurants and coffee shops. She is thrilled to join the OHSU community and cannot wait to explore all the hiking trails that the Pacific Northwest offers.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
