About me

I am a board-certified general surgeon specializing in bariatric and foregut surgery

I use minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, to treat conditions like:

I also specialize in revisional surgery and motility disorders, helping patients who may not have found answers elsewhere.

When we meet, my goal is to make sure you truly understand your condition and your options so we can make the best decisions for your health together. You are always a partner in your own care.

I grew up right here in the Portland area, and after completing my training, I'm proud to serve the community I've always called home.

When I’m not working, I love getting outside with my husband, our two kids and our extended family. On rainy Portland days, you'll most likely find me curled up with a good book.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
