About me

Dr. Thompson specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology, with particular interests in minimally invasive surgery, heavy periods, adolescent care and contraception. She has a strong interest in providing trauma-informed care and care for survivors of sexual violence. She chose the field of OB-GYN because it gives her opportunity to be a place of comfort for women and female-bodied individuals at some of their most vulnerable moments. She strives to join high quality, evidence-based medicine with compassion to problem solve alongside her patients. She absolutely loves working in a teaching environment, and is thrilled to practice at OHSU, where she completed her residency training.

Dr. Thompson grew up in California, but now considers herself an Oregonian. In her spare time, she enjoys running, cooking and reading.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
