About me

Dr. Monica Llado-Farrulla is the associate program director of the plastic surgery residency program and assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery. She joined as OHSU faculty in 2023 after completing her fellowship. Before this, she completed a plastic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a general surgery residency at Tulane University. She is a native of Puerto Rico, where she received her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

  3. My experience with Dr. Farrulla was wonderful! She made me feel comfortable, listened to, and cared for. She explained everything very clearly and provided such expert guidance. She paused regularly to see if I had questions and to see how I was feeling about everything. I left feeling cared for, informed and empowered.

  13. She came in and greeted me and my partner. She asked to exam my chest and I allowed her, the exam was very fast. We discussed that I was not a candidate for keyhole surgery, I got the choice of double incision or another that I can't remember and we went with the double incision with no nipple graphs.

In addition, she answered all my questions clearly and confirmed with me if I understood and/or had any additional questions.   20. Dr. Monica Llado-Farrulla, while terse, is a good fit for my communication style and level of care I require from my providers. She unpacked and corrected some misinformation I had about the top surgery process, and was exceptional at explaining the limitations we had for surgery options based on my chest shape and other factors.
