About me

Kathryn moved to Oregon from Minnesota when she was a child. Growing up, she was very active in equestrian sports, competing with her horses in a variety of disciplines.

As an occupational therapist, Kathryn specializes in serving individuals with vision loss. She works with patients to evaluate the functional impacts that their low vision has on their daily lives and works with them to help mitigate those impacts and make the most of their remaining vision, through accommodations, modifications, and adaptive strategies.

Kathryn is passionate about helping those with low vision. She brings a unique perspective to her work as she has low vision herself and has been a long-time patient of Casey Eye Institute.

In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys riding horses with her husband, Steve, and taking walks with her guide dog, Nabisco.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
