About me

Dr. Lim is a fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon specializing in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and neuroendocrine diseases. He joined OHSU and the Division of Surgical Oncology in 2016; he also is a part of the OHSU Thyroid and Parathyroid Center team. Dr. Lim has advanced training in minimally invasive surgical techniques to remove the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands (including both transabdominal and retroperitoneal adrenal approaches). He is also proficient in neck ultrasound and fine needle aspiration thyroid biopsies. Dr. Lim is adept at working with patients and their families to provide a multidisciplinary approach to their disease and treatment plan.

His research interests are in the diagnosis and management of endocrine diseases and clinical outcomes. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great Oregon outdoors.

  2. Dr. Lim was very thorough with his explanations and with answering my questions. He seemed to intuit that my husband and I have some medical background and he did not "dumb down" his use of medical terminology. I appreciate his approach.

  7. The doctor and nurses were exceptionally professional. It is just the people making the appointments that I had an issue with. They did not seem to want to help and couldn't care less. But asking my religion? How is that necessary for making an appointment? That felt really invasive.

  13. From the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor, everyone was very polite and professional. They made me feel comfortable, even though I had just had a double parathyroidectomy surgery performed. I had a very good experience!

  30. HE WAS apparently behind in his schedule but after 20 min waiting his assistant let me know what was going on. Then He appeared to conduct appointment. I wish his assistant let me know sooner because I thought there was technical problems not knowing what was going on.
