About me

Jacqueline Trussell is a Senior Outpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and Instructor in the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.

She provides outpatient care for patients before and after autologous stem cell transplant and cellular therapy, including long-term follow-up. Her clinical expertise centers on the recognition and management of transplant- and cell therapy–related toxicities, including cytokine release syndrome (CRS), immune effector cell–associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), immune effector cell–associated HLH-like syndrome (IEC-HS), and prolonged cytopenias. She performs bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and intrathecal chemotherapy administration.

Ms. Trussell serves as a sub-investigator on cellular therapy clinical trials in hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and in autoimmune and neuromuscular disease, including myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, and systemic lupus erythematosus. She has co-authored work on the management of CAR T-cell therapy neurotoxicity, published in Blood Advances and on real-world outcomes of TIL therapy, published in Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.

She has practiced as an inpatient and outpatient APP at OHSU since 2013 and has precepted nurse practitioner and physician assistant students in hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy since 2015.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
