Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  8. I cannot rate my experience with Dr. Metzler as a "10." I've only met him once and that is not long enough to build a relationship on which to rate it. He was respectful, listened well, professional and seemed confident about his plan of care for me.

  9. Excellent communication and care

  10. I'm switching Drs to OHSU. My previous Dr was reluctant to discuss treatments he didn't offer himself. Dr Metzler did great.

  14. Dr. Ian Metzler was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and professional but also kind and light hearted. My health issue is complex and he was able to provide me with several pathways I could follow. He has requested more advanced testing to determine additional factors impacting his choice of appropriate treatment. The staff and assistant were also helpful and supportive.
