About me
Dr. Cat Livingston is a family physician with special expertise in preventive medicine and public health.
She relishes developing relationships with her patients over time, and helping walk them through health issues, whether they are straightforward or more complex.
She has special expertise in evidence-based medicine, and is an expert in epidemiology - the study of health issues among populations of people. She divides her time between caring for patients and working on larger health issues, helping to ensure proven clinical practices are reflected in health policy.
When she's not working, Dr. Livingston enjoys delicious food, reading fiction, hiking and exploring nature and the world with her children.

Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
