About me

Steve received a B.S. in oceanography and chemistry from the University of Washington. Following this he worked for a short while as an Oceanographer studying nitrogen cycling in deep sea sediments. He completed medical school as part of the Brown University and Dartmouth University combined program. He completed his residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University in Providence, RI. Steven completed a National Library of Medicine Fellowship in Biomedical Informatics and an M.S. in Biomedical Informatics at OHSU.  Steve is interested in general internal medicine and particularly how health information technology can improve outcomes, provider efficiency and patient engagement. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
