About me

Steve has worked as an advanced practice provider since graduating from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 1991. He has worked in general neurosurgery for much of that time, with a concentration in the care of spine-related conditions and the care of patients who have undergone surgical procedures of the spine. He enjoys watching the progress of neurosurgical patients through the spectrum of neurosurgical care from diagnosis through recovery. Steve primarily cares for patients who are recovering from spine surgery in OHSU Hospital on Marquam Hill.

Away from OHSU, Steve enjoys spending time with his partner and their pets. He has been an active participant in Ironman triathlons, the Hood to Coast Relay and other similar outdoor activities. He also enjoys reading fiction and working on his house and yard.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
