About me

Dr. Sonia Sosa is a family physician. She enjoys taking care of patients in all stages of life. Her professional interests include integrative medicine, obstetrics, women's health, pediatrics, hypermobility and autonomic dysfunction, manual medicine, addiction medicine and care for underserved populations. She believes in providing collaborative, patient-centered care and incorporating evidenced-based integrative medicine. Areas of focus within integrative medicine are nutrition, western herbs, mind-body medicine and manipulative medicine. She works to continually honor the people and lineages of knowledge who have influenced the care she offers.

Dr. Sosa, a native of Normal, Illinois, enjoys working with ethnically and socioeconomically diverse populations. She speaks conversational Spanish.

When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two school-age children. Together they enjoy cooking, reading and spending time outside hiking, biking and exploring. Dr. Sosa can also occasionally be found performing aerial dance around town.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
