About me
I am a Physician Associate who provides primary care for patients of all ages. I diagnose and treat medical conditions, interpret laboratory and imaging results, prescribe medications, and provide patient education to support optimal health outcomes.
I chose to be a primary care provider for many reasons, but chief among them is getting to know my patients over time. I strive to build trust and shared understanding with patients. I recognize that medicine is just as much an art as it is a science because patients' stories and lives matter immensely to their health.
I grew up in Portland and love being able to practice in the community. I enjoy providing care for individuals across the lifespan and of all backgrounds. One of the greatest privileges of practicing in family medicine is the long-term care we get to provide our patients.
When I am not working, I am most likely gardening, spending time with family and friends, cooking, hiking, playing board games or reading.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

This was the first appointment with my new primary. I felt it went very well.
She took time to thoroughly explore my concerns and address them.
Savannah Demming is fantastic. She is our new primary care physician and we couldn't recommend her highly enough. She helped diagnose my pneumonia a few weeks back as well. Super knowledgeable, explains things clearly, takes the time with patients - you can tell she really cares.
She was amazing my daughter is in good hands
Savannah listens and responds accordingly
Savannah is very professional, caring, and showered me with impression of importance
She always is a great provider: listens, gives good advice, personable!
Friendly and easy to talk to.
Empathy, concern and a great personality
Doctor and staffs work very hard to help me.Such a great clinic.
I really enjoyed my experience with this clinician, it was the first time I've seen her, but she was non-judgemental and helpful, I'd love to see her again!
Very thoughtful
Because of the short notice it was not my GP. However, the physician's assistant that stepped in to see me was fantastic. Friendly, personable, knowledgable, and was very good about listening to me about my issues and concerns.
Professional, friendly, compassionate and respectful! I truly felt that this provider listened, cared and created an action plan that effectively addressed my healthcare needs!!
Savannah Demmings was SO kind and knowledgeable. I came in having had a fever for 6 days, feeling the sickest I've ever felt. Trouble breathing and very worried. She took great care in explaining what she was doing, what the options were and was the one who figured out I had pneumonia. Her and the entire team were amazing. I know it's extra hard having to put on PPE and treat a patient with an unknown respiratory illness and their kindness during this super difficult time meant a lot to me.
Very thorough.
My doctor took all the time in the world and went over each and every aspect I needed to talk with her about. She was caring and helpful and very empathetic. Explained things well and offered solutions when needed or just empathy in other spots.
She really listened and made great and effective recommendations.
I like her service spirit so much, her service spirit is thoughtful, not sloppy and serious, easy to serve!
Attentive listener, problem-solver, personable. Good experience
Excellent
First time meeting. I am a very complicated case but she was good at clarifying my symptoms and making a referral to a review process for potential expedited review of my case. Hoping for finding an appointment time with Neurolgy before June which is earliest appointment I could secure.
Amazing. Logical. Systematic. Communicated timelines. Accommodated my disability. (Hearing and visual) Super Good.
Really appreciated Savannah timeliness in addressing an issue that came up unexpectedly.
Efficient friendly seemed to know what they were doing well
Very thorough with examination. Explained well and further recommendation discussed.
Took time to listen and answer all my questions.
Like my new PC provider. Looking forward to seeing her in the future for my health care needs.
This is the second time I have been seen my Ms. Demming, and I am very happy with the continuity of care and her communication with my Primary Care Physician. Ms Demming is knowledgable, thorough and communicates clearly.
She was running behind because of an emergency that morning, but frankly I don't care. My appointment was thorough and I was listened to. She didn't try to get me in and out the door.
