About me

Dr. Reid Mueller is an Associate Professor and plastic surgeon at OHSU and Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Prior to arriving to OHSU, Dr. Mueller trained at the University of California, San Fransciso where he completed surgical residencies in both general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery. During his training he did pioneering research into the biology of scarring in a effort to understand and reduce scars for his patients.

Dr. Mueller has special interest in facial cosmetic surgery, body contouring, breast surgery and breast reconstruction. He has used his unique knowledge of how the body heals to develop minimal scar techniques now adopted around the world. Dr. Mueller is one of the pioneers in endoscopic surgery in the United States, using surgical telescopes to preform surgery with small hidden incisions, where previously a much larger disfiguring incision was needed.

  22. The absolute best surgeon I could have. I've always felt I was in good hands by not only Dr Mueller, but also his team that is in plastic surgery. My quality of life has greatly improved and I had never thought possible that a body could heal so well. Dr Mueller does incredible work and for the first time in my life I can say I'm almost to the point I'm no longer as self conscious as I was before. (I still need another surgery) Having a skin disease has been very difficult, surgery is never easy but ohsu and plastic surgery really has made a difference in my life and body. I feel like a completely new person.
