About me

I am an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at OHSU, providing comprehensive primary care with a focus on obesity medicine and cardiovascular disease prevention. I am currently pursuing board certification through the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

I treat a wide range of conditions, with particular expertise in obesity, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension. My approach combines personalized, evidence-based care, including lifestyle counseling and medication management, to help patients achieve lasting improvements in their health.

My patient care philosophy is centered on building strong, long-term relationships and creating individualized treatment plans that support sustainable lifestyle changes. I focus on helping patients improve their cardiovascular and metabolic health through practical, achievable strategies. One of the most rewarding aspects of primary care is partnering with patients over time and supporting them throughout their health journey.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy staying active through tennis and swimming, and I love singing in both Arabic and English.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
