About me
Rachel Wilson is a Pediatric Surgery Physician Assistant and an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Pediatric Surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine.
She greatly enjoys working with children and their families to provide the best possible care and guide them through their medical and surgical experience. Pediatrics often involve forming long-term relationships with patients and their families, and Rachel enjoys the bond she shares with each of her patients.
Rachel especially enjoys educating patients, families and students. She does research on and works on improving ways to treat patients and practice medicine. She is currently studying and working on improving the care and management of patients who need a special kind of feeding tube. She helps take care of children during their hospital stay, sees patients in an out-patient clinic, performs minor medical procedures and assists in the OR. She has also enjoyed participating in several medical mission trips around the world and hopes to continue these trips.
Rachel earned her B.S. degree and her Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She is certified as a Physician Assistant.
Rachel is an avid sports fan. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, dancing and spending time with her family.

Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
