About me

Dr. Andersen specializes in working with doctors from other specialties to care for patients with cancers and benign tumors of the head and neck. He strives to develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient that maximizes the chance of cure and minimizes side effects of treatment. He leads a highly specialized team of physicians, nurse practitioners and speech/language pathologists to deliver the best treatment for each patient's situation. While Dr. Andersen is a surgeon, he is expert in both surgical and nonsurgical treatment of head and neck tumors, including chemotherapy, radiation and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He and his team can provide the most up-to-date reconstructive procedures and rehabilitation techniques. In his spare time Dr. Andersen enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, skiing and windsurfing.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
