About me

Monica Deshpande, F.N.P., joined the department of Otolaryngology in 2011 returning to the Pacific Northwest from Nashville, TN where she spent the previous 15 years. She enjoys seeing general pediatric otolaryngology patients as well as being part of a multi-disciplinary team that specializes in the care of pediatric hemangiomas and vascular disorders. Monica delivers an integrated approach in health care by involving the families and members of the pediatric specialty team. She earned her B.S. and Masters of Science in nursing from Vanderbilt University where she spent over 10 years providing health-care to children. Certified by the ANCC, a member of the Nurse Practitioners of Oregon and the Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Nurses, she has also served as guest faculty at Vanderbilt University and OHSU School of Nursing mentoring students, seeing patients, and giving lectures. In her spare time, Monica enjoys the many outdoor activities that Portland has to offer, running, kayaking, hiking, and biking.

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
