About me
Dr. Melissa Logan is a family doctor. She became passionate about becoming a doctor after a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. This showed her first-hand the importance and impact of quality healthcare. Her time during medical school in Chicago also demonstrated to her the importance of developing long-term, supportive relationships with patients and their families. She is honored to be a part of the family medicine residency program at OHSU and proud to participate in a community that exemplifies the patient-centered care she hopes to provide.
Before medical school, Dr. Logan helped to treat older adults as a physical therapy aide. Hearing about their lives and sharing in their achievements throughout rehabilitation was also a major reason she decided to pursue a career in medicine.
When she's not working, Dr. Logan - who earned a college scholarship as a swimmer - enjoys swimming and watching movies. She is an aspiring foodie and is excited to explore all of the great restaurants in Portland.

Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
